Who has a second floor?

We do.. we do. We took one of our weekly visits to the new place and were pleased to find out that they now have the second floor walls up and from what it looked like they had the wood for the roof on site. It is quite possible that by the time we check it this weekend there could be a roof and maybe even some windows… maybe. Of course I took some more photos and uploaded them to the framing album. It will be a bit harder for us to make trips to the new place where we move into the apartment, but we should still be able to get there once a week.

Ooohh.. some other interesting news. Steve told Craig that him & Jody are going to be looking at some of the models this weekend. It would be great to have them living in the same community as us. Quite frankly I wish we could get everyone we know to move into the area. :biggrin_wp: I know not everyone likes to live out in the middle of corn fields & tree farms, but that doesn’t mean I can’t hope for it.

After a few complaints about the photo gallery not allowing you to go from photo to photo I finally took the time to check into changing it. As luck would have it the options for the photo gallery have this feature built in, what does this mean you might ask? Well … it means that when you click on one of the thumbnails in a photo album it will open into a “lightbox”. If you hover your mouse cursor over the left side of the photo it will display tab for prev and if you do the same over the right side it will display a tab for next. You don’t have to click on the tab to get it to go to the next or previous photo though, you just have to make sure that the tab is showing. So.. enjoy. :rolleyes_ee:

On the same note.. there are new photos of the new house. We have our first floor walls framed and some of the upstairs floor. Things with the current house are going well. We have a few things to take care of from the inspection, but nothing too terrible. Packing isn’t going as great as I had hoped it would though. It’s amazing how much junk we have to pack. UGH!

What’s going on?

After three weeks with only 2 house showings we had a whirlwind of showings last weekend. We had 2 on Saturday, 4 on Sunday and 1 on Monday. We were very shocked, but when we didn’t get any offers we thought that it was never going to sell, but low and behold Craig got a call at work on Wednesday afternoon from our realtor who wanted to let him know that we were going to get an offer on the house, but she didn’t have any details. When she did call back with the offer we were very excited. The closing date was a bit sooner than we wanted, but the offer was good. So we counter-offered and they accepted. Woohoo. As we sat in the house signing the paperwork we noticed that it was May 9th, the house was put on the market on April 9th. It was so scary to think that what had felt like months and months was only 4 weeks. As happy as we are that we sold it is still rather sad to think that we will be leaving our first house. Of course we are looking forward to our new adventures in apartment living.. NOT!!!
