&*#@ Comcast

// June 27th, 2007 // 3 Comments » // Home, Vents

Yes, that’s right, &*#@ Comcast!! Why you ask?? Well, let me tell you. Since we moved into the apartment our way of dealing with the stress, depression, boredom, or whatever you’d like to call it, is playing World of Warcraft. Yesterday was the first day that we were going to be able to run a 10-man dungeon and we were pretty excited about it. As we sat down to play we were pissed to find out that Comcast, our ISP, would have other plans for us. All night we played a game of now-you-have-connection, now-you-don’t. It would come back just long enough to let us log back into WoW and then we’d lose connection again. We didn’t even have enough time to let the people in our group know that they should fill our spots with someone else. It was horrible.

Craig called Comcast twice, and of course all they could do say we’ll “Send a tech out”. Of course that tech can only come out tomorrow (today) between noon and four. Well here is another problem, just like most people in the world we have to work for a living and just can’t get time off of work to appease their scheduling. So, not only did we have to deal with not having Internet, then we had to deal with some babbling fool who couldn’t answer any question that wasn’t answered in his “book” and then their stupid scheduling. It was enough to make us say lets get DSL. Then I remind Craig that we have already dished out to much money for installation of Comcast it wouldn’t be worth it to go with another provider. UGGGHHH!! I just “love’ apartment living.

Apartment Living

Current Mood:Sad emoticon Sad

Before we sold the house Craig and I had a discussion about living in an apartment rather than asking for a rent-back option from the buyer. He said “we’ll hate living in an apartment”.. I said “it will be an nice change, make us appreciate the new house”. Unfortunately Craig was 100% right. We “hate” living in an apartment, but it definitely has made us appreciate the new house. The only salvation is our weekly visits to the new place, which we have new photos posted.

It has been “amazing” to be reminded of all of the things that we took for granted living in our own home. Like the longer trip from the car to the apartment with groceries, or the fact that we would now have to find a time to do laundry when others weren’t. Oh and lets not forget the simple things, like dealing with the smell of what someone else is making for dinner or the fact that the tenant above you apparently likes to stomp their feet as they walk around their apartment. Oh and then there’s the fact that to take the garbage out we now have to walk halfway across the parking lot. I know.. I know.. the problems I have.

I really feel bad for the pups. They have been so sad since we moved out of the house. They don’t even play anymore. We have been trying to take them on walks to get them some time outside, but it hasn’t made things better. We are hoping that they aren’t playing because there really isn’t enough room to run around since there are boxes everywhere.
