Or maybe even a little bit of both? Last night was the release of the newest expansion for World of Warcraft. For those of you that are unaware of what that is, it’s a computer game that allows you to play in an online world with the rest of the other 11 million people playing the game. In order to keep those subscribers playing they release an expansion pack that gives you new places to explore, things to do and levels to achieve.
The official release of the game is today, but many stores around the area were holding midnight release parties. Craig & I already had 2 copies on pre-order, but I was really hoping to get a Collector Edition copy of the game so I could have an in-game pet. So at the last minute we decided to head to our local Best Buy to wait in line for the release. We were smart, we came home from work took about a two hour nap, had dinner and then played WoW until it was time to head to BB. We were a bit worried about what the line was going to be, but surprisingly we were #24 & #25 in line. There was an excitement in the air, especially when the store manager annouced that they had 60 copies of the Collector’s Edition. Woohoo!! I know silly, but very exciting for me.
Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to play it or even install it last night, but we have every intention of going home and playing the night away. Can’t wait to start to explore the new land!! Wish me luck.
